Due to overwhelming demand and my Nait courses being sold out a year in advance I've decided to add a 4 hour introductory course on weekday afternoons or evenings. Forging the railway spike knife teaches the basics of forging which include recognizing temperature and hammer control and heat treatment. Manipulation of hot metal with tongs and how to strike and control the hammer. All of which are essential elements to learning to forge.  Students will learn to do a decorative twist on the handle . This is a one on one workshop.
