Through further heating the freshly ground surfaces take on the oxide patina . 
it is differentiallly hardened and tempered for durability and resilience.

It comes dressed in its final temper colour and polished near mirror bright.

It’s mounted on an hand carved hickory handle that has received multiple costs of tung oil.
