Hand forged 4140 wooden handled hot cut .
Used to cut  hot steel when struck with a hammer.

Heat treated for a soft striking end and a hard and tough durable cutting edge .

aproximately 6” (155mm) long with a 1” (25 mm) wide cutting edge .

these tools a struck with another hammer and are not swung. Their handles are friction fit and not wedged like my hammers . This allows for dismounting and re dressing when required
