it has a broad hemi spherical face and a flat face. The hammer has been differentially hardened and tempered for a lively feel and resistance to deformation .

laboriously ground and polished to a near mirror bright finish. It comes dressed in its final bronze colour temper and mounted on well oiled hickory.
