The Tool Eye Punch Set comes with indexing punch holding tongs and 3 punches made from.75” dia. H-13 (Axe, Hammer and Round).
If you already have the Essential H-13 Punches and Tong Holder Set those tongs will work with these punches so you can also choose to order the punches separately.

hot punching is made cleaner and easier with the addition of punching lubricant. I used Fuchs forge ease lubricant also available on this site
AISI H-13 Tool Steel - a 5% chromium hot work tool steel designed for applications that require extreme toughness combined with good red-hardness. H13 will allow an extra margin of safety in tools subject to heavy hammer blows, and those containing deep recesses or sharp corners. Although H13 was designed as a hot work steel, it has solved many cold work applications where extra toughness could be gained with some sacrifice of wear resistance.
Properties
H-13 is typically bought to meet chemistry requirements rather than physical requirements. For that reason, physical properties are generally not provided unless requested prior to production. Any material can be sent to a third party after production to be tested for physical properties.
